Crown Freedom is an award winning independent British rapper, songwriter and producer hailing from South Manchester. His knack for words, intelligent lyricism, versatility and flow mastery set him apart from his peers.

Renowned for his substance, deep lyrical content and hard-hitting message, Crown has created a concoction of progressive sounds.

He regularly delivers lessons and workshops in schools and prisons around faith, purpose and identity. Crown Freedom continues to release music and projects through his IRON SHARPENS IRON brand.

EXPERIENCE & IMPACT

Marvin is an award-winning youth worker and musician who has delivered lessons and workshops in schools and youth facilities for over 10 years.

In 2009 he took part in delivering the Guns & Gangs project in Old Trafford for which his team won the Philip Lawrence National Award for work in the community. They then set up the S.A.F.E. project, focused on creating awareness around the dangers of gun and knife crime. This received coverage from the BBC, MEN, It’s My Life, and Dispatches.

From 2015 to 2018, Marvin worked at The Message Trust as part of Vital Signs, delivering sessions and talks in schools and prisons around choice and consequence, identity, purpose, CSE, knife crime and more.

BLADES DOWN

Blades Down was born from grief, the kind that comes from watching young lives stolen by knife crime. Growing up on a tough estate in South Manchester, Marvin learned early what it means to make life-defining decisions when everything around you is pulling you the wrong way.

Marvin escaped the grip of gang culture and chaos, and now he’s determined to lead young people away from the same dangers. He’s felt the impact of knife crime up close, losing friends, supporting family members who’ve been stabbed, and working directly with both victims and perpetrators.

Blades Down is a raw, unapologetic wake-up call, a real look at the consequences of knife crime and the pain that ripples long after an attack. Marvin’s Christian faith shapes every lesson and every song. It fuels a message of love, hope, and divine purpose.

Through music, lived experience, and powerful storytelling, Marvin connects with young people on their level, giving them the tools, truth, and inspiration they need to make safer choices, not just for today, but for their future.
